Yoga & Hops is Taking a Pause

If you scrolled down all the way in the newsletter announcing ticket sales, you already know. Maybe you've heard it from a friend who heard it from someone else. It's true - Yoga & Hops will be taking an extended break after the April 26 event.

This is happening for a few reasons, and I want to keep you informed. I realize there are many of you who look forward to and attend Yoga & Hops every month. I have been and continue to be extremely grateful for the regulars who have been showing up, month after month, for the past year and a half. Without you, the event could never have been so successful.

My most recent contract with ODBC went through April - meaning, I've been on the books at Ore Dock on the last Tuesday of every month for the past several months, and when I signed the contract, we decided to set a 'pause' date, giving me a chance to reconsider should the excitement of the event start to fade. Well, here we are at the end of my contact, and..the fading didn't happen.  But something else did...

I found out at the beginning of February that my husband and I are expecting! With this exciting and fabulous news, I continued on -  I charged through the first trimester exhaustion and managed to pull off the February and March events with barely any hiccups (literally and figuratively...). Here's the thing, though - my body is changing. My practice is changing. My priorities are changing. And, as much as I truly love Yoga & Hops, it is a lot of work. There's a lot of prep to pulling off an all-levels class (without any props!), not to mention getting the upstairs community space ready for yoga: moving barrels, tables, chairs, stools, etc. So often, I ask all of you to prioritize your body and listen to what it is asking of you. It's time for me to tune into my own needs, physically and mentally, and give to myself for a bit.

I'll still be teaching - I plan to teach until I can't anymore! - at TuliVesi Yoga on Thursdays at 7. You can find me there for a hot and sweaty vinyasa experience. I truly have intentions of picking Yoga & Hops back up in the early winter next year.

It has been a wild ride, and I'm so glad you were there with me. There are 15 tickets left for the April event, so snag yours before they're gone!
